Course overview

Learn how to get your book published with a traditional publisher or DIY

Writing a book is hard, but it's only one step in the process of getting your ideas into the hands of readers. There are so many questions you'll need to answer.

Should you try to sell your idea to a publisher? Should you go ahead and self-publish? How does that even work? Do you need an agent? Should you even write a book in the first place?

In this short 2 hour session, Laura Klein, author of two very popular books on design and product management will demystify the process and help you figure out how to get your book published in the way that makes the most sense for you.

During the interactive session, you will get a chance to ask all your publishing and writing questions.

There is one interactive session for this course on February 13th from 4pm - 6pm PST. Students may also book a free 30 minute session with me after the course.

What people are saying

Laura gave me terrific advice on how to restructure my book to be more engaging. She has a great knowledge of the publishing industry, and a strong grasp of what keeps people reading. Best of all, she was willing to help at whatever level I needed, from the detail to the big picture.

Both times I engaged with Laura, she was incredibly helpful in transforming my manuscript. She was highly communicative, on time and exceeded my expectations on feedback.  Laura provided great editorial perspective but just as important, she provided great real-life perspective. I found her to be knowledgeable about a host of topics and history.
