Course overview
Podcasting is a proven way to connect with your audience.
And the step beyond connection is community. Discover how to develop your message and communicate it to people who want to hear from you.
We cover the foundations of getting started in audio creation, taking you from a great idea to your published podcast out in the wild.
01
You have something to say and want to make a difference by creating your own podcast.
02
Our graduates include entrepreneurs, freelancers, artists, non-profit leaders, teachers, corporate linchpins, writers…
03
It is for leaders with positive voices and the power of connection. It's time to stand up, speak out & make a difference in the world.
The Podcasting Workshop will provide you with the tools and resources to take the leap and create your own podcast
We’ll cover every step of the process from conceiving an original idea for a podcast series to publishing your finished episodes.
Sharing your voice
Podcasting is the generous act of showing up, earning trust and authority because you care enough to raise your hand and speak up.
Stop dreaming and start doing
Have you been talking for years about that podcast you want to start?
We've found an effective way for anyone (especially you) to get started in podcasting. We've worked with more than three thousand people learning to create their own podcast.
Build community
Independent podcasting can be lonely. The most valuable part of The Podcasting Workshop is the community itself. Share your journey with others who have the same goals you do. Many of our workshop graduates are still in touch years after commencement. Small cohorts help this.
The Podcasting Workshop
Workshop Director
I will be teaching the workshop through recorded material, and live sessions, plus interacting with you in the student hub discussion board.
I have years of experience helping people become podcasters. Usually they also discover the side benefits of podcasting in their life, business and relationships - communication, skills, confidence and clarity about the change they want to make in the world.
I worked for more than 3 1/2 years with Alexandra DiPalma, and Seth Godin as Head Coach for The Podcasting Workshop when it was part of Akimbo. I am now leading it forward into its next phase.
My passion is to help people with something to say, get their message out in the wild.
I have something of an affinity with tech, plus an insatiable curiosity. Problem-solving is my default mindset. I can often be heard asking my computer, “So why are you doing that?” We can find a solution to most podcasting problems.
As well as being a shepherd to podcasters, I am also a shepherd to alpacas. We are based in a valley in South Wales, UK, with a herd of 36 alpacas, which inspires my podcast, Alpaca Tribe (over 230 weekly episodes).
I think life is too short to make, or listen to bad podcasts.
I look forward to helping you find your voice by using it.
