Summary
Explore our latest syllabus features: flexible event sequencing, streamlined admin views, and refreshed designs for student engagement.

The most powerful learning is live and cohort-based. It’s also complex! We are committed to building the best product for this format. The syllabus is at the heart of the challenge.

A self-paced syllabus gets by with a static list of content, but live requires more. You need to define what, how, and when students will learn. Events and content should work together.

We’ve seen how important this artifact is to prospective students. Student that engage with the syllabus on the landing page are 5X more likely to convert to purchase. Yet we know there are gaps:

How do I see what content connects to an event?
How do I know what to do before an event?
How do I get a sense of the overall course timeline?
In the new syllabus launched today, events finally fit into your flow. You can move events in an order that makes sense for your course, and nest events inside of modules. This allows you to present a clear course structure that gets students to enroll and engage.
⏱️ Create a flexible timeline
Before: View events separately from modules.
After: Drag events between or inside modules.

Events can now be viewed in context. We recommend moving events into modules so you can clearly sequence pre-work and post-work between sessions. Don’t worry - we know events are important so we still preview the details even when the module is collapsed.
🧱 Build your course from one place
Before: Create events on a separate page.
After: Create events from your syllabus or module editor.

Building a course used to mean bouncing between multiple pages to create your events and content. Now you can do it all from one connected place. You can make multiple event changes and “publish” a bundled update to students to get on their calendars.
✨ Same inputs, fresh outputs
Before: Students and instructors saw the same syllabus design.
After: Designs have been refreshed to be denser, simpler, and customized to audience.

We’ve updated the look-and-feel across each surface area where the syllabus is shown. Admin section is densest to give you flexibility in moving things around. Enrolled students have more space to accommodate for progress completion.
