What you'll learn

Define the AI Engineers Role

Understand the core responsibilities and how this position bridges the gap between software engineering and ML research.

Collaborate with others

Learn how AI Engineers work with others on the team.

Processes

How traditional processes apply to the new AI Engineering role and how things like CRISP-DM can help us.

Why this topic matters

The role of an AI Engineer is often misunderstood as purely research-focused. Drawing on over 15 years of industry experience, this session cuts through theory to show the practical reality of the role. You’ll learn how to structure daily work, collaborate within teams, and solve real problems like those in online marketplaces, delivering real business value while staying technically grounded.
