Introducing The Product Designer’s Interview Guide…The Course 💥.

I wrote the guide with one clear goal: to help designers ace their interviews. Within 72 hours of its release, the playbook hit 600k downloads. My inbox overflowed with designers eager to refine their career strategies—diving into the what, how, and why of their journeys.

But what stood out most wasn’t just the strategy—it was the human experience.

The stories you’ve shared with me about rejection, self-doubt, sleepless nights prepping, career stagnation, imposter syndrome, fear, and the stress of supporting your loved ones reminded me of the emotional journey we all face as designers.

This course isn’t just about interview tactics or design roles—it’s about you.

Together, we’ll:

- Understand your strengths as a person first, and a designer second.

- Apply those strengths to product design contexts.

- Translate them into your unique superpowers.

- Identify your passions and areas of growth.

- Reflect on how your values align with your current or future roles.

Using your strengths, values, and goals as our foundation, we’ll navigate interview strategies, communication methods, storytelling within case studies, and presenting/discussing your work with impact.

You’ll also learn to:

- Reframe rejection and setbacks into positive outcomes.

- Give and receive feedback effectively.

- Spot red and green flags in companies or teams.

- Build authentic connections with your audience—whether it’s hiring managers, peers, or leadership.

Join a space where those in the room are ready to have honest, open discussions about the human skills behind the design job;

You’ll finish the course with a fresh perspective on yourself, your journey, and what comes next. You'll learn to communicate your work's true impact in a way that resonates on a human level. By the end, you’ll know exactly how to leverage your talent, background, and skills to excel in your existing, future, or desired roles, and hey, you'll make friends along the way. 🌱

For designers who are seeking to...

01

Uncover more about who they are as a designer through self-reflection —identifying unique strengths and superpowers that guide their path.

02

Master the 'how' of presenting user-centered, business-informed design—even when data is limited.

03

Use empathy-driven storytelling to build trust and foster connections, keeping listeners engaged and invested in your designs.

Outcomes that focus on your needs — not molding you for big tech or a LinkedIn audience.

Uncover who you are as a designer through self-reflection and meaningful conversations.

To know where we want to go, we first need to understand where we are and what we need. Together, we’ll uncover your superpowers by exploring your unique strengths as a person first, before diving into you as a designer.

Bring people together through empathy-driven storytelling.

Deepen your understanding of empathy-driven storytelling by learning how to seamlessly weave empathy and emotional insights into every step of your narrative arc.

Learn the value of qualitative outcomes when demonstrating the scope of your unique impact.

Highlight your influence on the user experience and your team’s effectiveness, even without hard metrics, by showcasing shifts in user behavior, team alignment, or the psychological benefits delivered to users.

Know your audience; Get into the minds of those on the other side of the hiring panel.

We'll talk strategy around engineers, product managers, and design peers whether you're interviewing or currently working alongside them. Understand their needs, fears, and the best way to navigate them.

Normalize big scary feelings within our roles and the interview process.

We're all human. Add more to your human toolbox when it comes to managing nerves, receiving & giving feedback, and projecting confidence.

Staff Product Designer; Design Strategist

Hi 👋. I'm a Staff Product Designer passionate about neurodivergence in designstorytelling, and ensuring that design learning and growth are accessible to all communities.

With 14 years in the tech industry and ~10 years dedicated to design, I’ve built a deep understanding of the design process, leadership, and the role of communication in product success. I've driven design outcomes at leading companies, including developer onboarding at ApolloGraphQL, custom permissions for enterprise clients at Lever, and internal data portals at Twilio.

Last fall, I released the Product Designer's Interview Playbook, reaching an audience of over 600k designers across the community. I’m deeply passionate about fostering a sense of community within design and supporting those on their journey.
