Course overview

Your CEO says "AI adoption is non-negotiable," but you don't know where to start

Operations leaders are being asked to implement AI without the budget, headcount, or technical support:

- You're expected to ship results this quarter, not next year.

- You don't have dedicated engineers, and your data-intensive workflows allow for zero margin of error.

- You know automation could solve a lot of problems...if only you knew how to build it yourself.

DIY workflows on no-code and low-code platforms don't do enough for the hassle. YouTube AI influencers are all focused on sales and marketing automation. And "AI for everyone" courses don't show you how to build projects relevant to your actual work.

This 2-week course is for busy Operations leaders who want to learn by doing.

You'll learn to adapt your strong analytical and systems thinking mindset to create useful technology, so that you can immediately solve your own problems and build a technical foundation to future-proof your career.

We'll even teach you how to code, assisted by AI. You'll create real projects that you can use at work, so that you're not limited by your tooling.

Zero prior coding experience needed.

Course structure

In 4 90-minute sessions across 2 weeks, you'll build AI-powered tools, workflow automations, and even autonomous AI agents ("AI coworkers") for your team's data-intensive workflows.

Each session includes real-world case studies that you would encounter in a data-intensive Operations role, hands-on practice / troubleshooting, and peer feedback.

After every session, you'll also get async instructor feedback on your actual business priorities to ensure you're heading in the right direction.

_____

Session 1: Automate your first email flow + map out what to automate next

1. What you'll build:

A working email bot in under 15 minutes — no coding, no tech background needed.

Think: automatic emails to suppliers and vendors, weekly updates to your team, or alerts when inventory is low.

You’ll build it with tools that are free and simple, and you can keep using them forever.

2. What you’ll learn:

How to spot manual, repetitive work hiding in your day-to-day (and turn it into an automation opportunity).

How to turn real-life bottlenecks — like chasing vendors or sending the same email over and over — into clear, step-by-step automations.

How to “talk tech” just enough to start building smart systems without hiring an engineer.

3. What you’ll take away:

A short, focused list of high-impact workflows you could automate — ranked by how much time or money they can save your team.

4. Post-session bonus:

Get instructor feedback on your automation project plan, so you know exactly where to start and how to build momentum.

Session 2: Safely connect tools with APIs (even If you’re not a developer)

1. What you'll build:

A real, working connection between two tools your team already uses — like pulling order data from Shopify into a spreadsheet, or sending customer updates from Airtable to Slack.

You’ll set it up in a secure workspace so nothing breaks your live systems.

2. What you'll learn:

What an API is (in plain English) and how it helps your tools talk to each other.

How to avoid common mistakes that can expose sensitive data.

Why version control matters — and how to do it without needing to be an engineer.

3. What you'll take away:

Confidence and a hands-on template for building safe, scalable connections between your tools.

4. Post-session bonus:

Personalized, async feedback on your setup to make sure it’s solid before using it at work.

Session 3: Automate a real workflow from your job (no coding required)

1. What you'll build:

An automation that takes something annoying off your plate — like tagging emails and updating your task tracker, or logging sales from different customers and channels into Google Sheets.

2. What you'll learn:

How to mix no-code tools (like Make or Zapier) with AI "vibe coding" to automate manual tasks.

How to customize automations to your exact needs — even if tools out of the box don’t quite fit.

Real examples from other ops teams automating inventory reports, finance processes, and customer comms.

3. What you'll take away:

A working automation you can start using this week — plus a clear view of when to use no-code, low-code, or custom-built tools as your needs grow.

4. Post-session bonus:

Instructor feedback on your automation — what’s working well, and where it can be improved.

Session 4: Build your first AI assistant for Ops work

1. What you'll build:

An AI-powered helper that does thinking work — like flagging unusual purchase orders, sending weekly insights to your sales team, or routing requests to the right person based on priority.

2. What you'll learn:

What AI agents are (vs. simple automation), and where to use them. How to integrate tools like ChatGPT and Claude without breaking your processes. How to design an AI agent to follow your team’s rules and decision logic.

3. What you'll take away:

A simple but powerful AI assistant, ready to plug into your operations.

Plus a framework to roll out AI safely across your team — even if others are less tech-savvy.

4. Post-session bonus:

Instructor 1-on-1 feedback on your AI agent — with pointers to improve or expand it for the future.

_____

In addition to Q&A time during each live session, you'll have the opportunity to ask questions during twice-weekly Office Hours (60 minutes each) and asynchronously via the private course community on Maven.

You can also sign up for a 30-minute, 1:1 AI coaching session scheduled during or after the bootcamp. (You can even bring your team!)

What you'll get

- Proven ways of using AI to supercharge your learning process from 0 to proficiency

- A complete blueprint for identifying, building, and deploying AI solutions across Operations, positioning yourself as the operational innovation leader in your org

- Your own custom software for your specific workflow needs

- A valuable new skillset; job postings are already asking for Operations Leaders who can "identify and implement automation tools to streamline workflows, reduce manual processes, and enhance efficiency"

Course materials

- Live walkthrough tutorials (recorded for future review) -- and written, step-by-step guides

- AI prompt templates that work for common Operations use cases

- Private Maven community for ongoing support

- Lifetime access to course updates

Who this is for

- Operations leaders in high-transaction businesses, where scaling headcount linearly with transactions doesn't make sense

- Team leads managing 5+ employees in data-heavy workflows, where the work is error-prone, yet also has zero room for error

- Operations directors without dedicated engineering support, where you're barely getting by with sophisticated spreadsheet hacking

You'll get the most value if you're:

- Dealing with repetitive manual work that's bogging you and your team down, and ready to solve it

- Excited to do hands-on prototyping work during the course, in the live sessions, or async by following the recordings / written material

- Ready to share your work-in-progress for instructor feedback and iterate quickly

- Already using ChatGPT or Claude

- Willing to invest time upfront to build systems that scale

This course is for...

"Highest ROI professional development ever."

I saved 1 hour a day (260+ hours a year) by creating an AI news scraper using Python code after one session with Linda, despite 0 previous coding experience. She doesn't gatekeep knowledge. She hands you the keys to build your own custom solutions. Now I'm learning SQL and Tableau with my reclaimed time. Highest ROI professional development ever.

Linda Mutricy

Has automated 99% of manual work for teams working on high-stakes data flows

I started my career in spreadsheets, doing data analytics and risk management reporting. I eventually taught myself how to code because I wanted to automate reporting. This had been a very labor-intensive process, gathering and cleaning data from 10+ different data sources every day. Eventually, something that used to take 3+ hours each day took less than 2 minutes with automation.

Learning how to code changed my trajectory.

I pivoted to a technical product manager role at Flexport, managing one of their critical data pipelines for creating U.S. customs filings.

I'm now helping mid-market companies automate their data-intensive operational processes through my software startup, Crafty Crow, saving lean teams 20+ hours a week without needing to hire tech or data people.

If I had to start my journey all over again, I know exactly what I'd do differently.

Now, I'm sharing everything I've learned so that you can achieve similar results, faster.
