Hi, I'm Lucy and I know the agony of what you're going through as I've been there myself. This course was born out of my own experience of heartbreaking loss when our 12 year old daughter was killed in a tragic road accident.
My TED talk, 3 Secrets of Resilient People, went viral during Covid, putting it in the Top 20 most watched talks of 2020.
When Abi died, as a resilience researcher, I quickly became frustrated by the standard grief advice. I wanted to be an active participant in my grief process, doing everything I possibly could to survive, instead of a helpless passenger.
In the eight years since, I have become known globally for helping thousands of people find a better way through bereavement. There is no one 'right' way to grieve, but there are tools that can make the journey less agonising and help you handle your emotions. Nowadays, I'm a senior adjunct professor and travel the world as a professional speaker, best-selling author, and award-winning ‘pracademic’. I blog for Psychology Today and my grief work is featured in the Guardian, the Washington Post, the BBC, CBS, ABC, the Sydney Morning Herald, Channel News Asia, Swedish Television, and TVNZ.
Frankly, grief sucks! Nothing I can do will remove all the pain, but I can share everything I've learned with you, to restore hope, regain control and help you feel more like yourself again.
Ultimately, it is possible to live and grieve at the same time. I look forward to showing you how.
